Honoring the repertoire across all of ECMC’s holiday concerts, Revelry presents to you the secular and sacred favorites that shine in the warmth and togetherness of a diverse holiday spirit. ECMC will revive inspiring performances of de Victoria’s renaissance masterpiece O Regem coeli, Randall Thompson’s heartwarming Choose Something Like a Star, and Elliot Levine’s Chanukah folk favorite Al HaNisim. At the center of it all will be Ceremony of Carols, Benjamin Britten’s beloved multi-movement seasonal masterpiece.

Have you ever heard an ECMC concert featuring more than one ECMC Artistic Director? Neither have we! Retrospective will be an immersive experience into ECMC’s musical history as we welcome the founding Artistic Director, Donald Messner (during 1993-??), joined by the esteemed Jonathan Babcock (during 1999-2008), Matthew Oltman (during 2013-2014), and Vince Peterson (2014-present) to conduct pieces from each of their eras. Join us as they lead ECMC through world-premiere commissions and favorites from their eras, and as we honor their undeniable and everlasting artistic contributions from a quarter century of music making in New York City.
