Congratulations to Matthew Oltman, who has accepted a teaching position with the School of Music at Texas State University. He will join the fall semester faculty as Lecturer in the School of Music and will teach choral conducting at the undergraduate and graduate level, teaching alongside former ECMC Artistic Director and fellow TSU School of Music faculty member Jonathan Babcock. Matt will be relocating from New York City, and stepping down from the ECMC Artistic Directorship. We wish Matt the best of luck in his new position, and thank him for his tenure as ECMC Artistic Director.

The ECMC will conduct a formal search for a new Artistic Director. As part of that process, the ECMC Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Vince Peterson as Interim Artistic Director to the ECMC Artistic Staff, joining Principal Accompanist Alden Gatt. Vince comes to our chorus with extensive choral conducting experience and is the current Organist and Choirmaster at St. Paul's Carroll Street in Brooklyn.  To learn more about Vince, please visit his page at
