TRANSFIGURATIONS was an ECMC concert series that took place on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Apostles in Manhattan, New York, and on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Carroll Street in Brooklyn, New York.

How Will You Change When You See Your Real Self?
Transfigurations was a love song to the art of loving ourselves, and featured the musical reflections of Stephen Paulus, Kyle Randall, Mahalia Jackson, Francisco Guerrero,  Orlando diLasso, Harry Belafonte, Michael Jackson, and more.

Transfigurations explored the theme of personal transformation.  The tagline question for the concert was "How will you change when you see your real self?"  ECMC sang an eclectic mix of choral music ranging from early music to gospel to pop to compositions by living composers.  Musical highlights included:

  • Adam Ward’s Undersong originally commissioned by Choral Chameleon and revoiced for mens ensemble
  • Jeremy Howard Beck’s Annunciation commissioned by Choral Chameleon and revoiced for mens ensemble
