Empire City Men's Chorus friends Queer Urban Orchestra (Guest Artists, ECMC's i Divi Concert Series) kick off their 2014-2015 Season Music that Leaps Off the Page tonight with their fall concert Celebration, honoring the 450th birthday of William Shakespeare. Concert highlights include the stately and heroic Trumpet Concerto of Haydn, Shostakovich’s manic Festive Overture and Beethoven’s triumphant Symphony No. 7, as well as music celebrating the story telling of the famous Bard: Mendelssohn’s Overture to a Midsummer Night’s Dream and Seth Bedford’s Ophelia.
